WHAT HAPPENED?
The fact that Fernandes' agent Miguel Pinho met with European clubs last week could mean nothing for the 29-year-old's future. Pinho does, after all, represent several players, and Fabrizio Romano has reiterated that the midfielder wants to stay at United.
However, the new regime at Old Trafford have already established their 'unsellable' players – and Fernandes doesn't feature on the list. So a decent offer could certainly turn heads in Manchester.

Fernandes' importance to United can't be overstated. The 29-year-old scored 15 goals and provided 13 assists in 2023-24, and set up Kobbie Mainoo to score in their FA Cup final over Manchester City.
Whether it's Erik ten Hag or someone else, United's manager next season will certainly want their team to revolve around the Portugal international.
